She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Gery and Mazie Gery (Barndt); her grandson Brett Halfinger; and her siblings, Betty Gauger, Gloria Lachman Heydt, Grace Geho and Don Miller.
She is survived by: her husband George "Jerry" Halfinger; her children, Janet Winkler (Gary) of Macungie and Jeff Halfinger (Lorna) of Lynchburg, VA; her grandchildren, Adam Winkler, Mandy Long, Mark Halfinger, Nathan Halfinger, Laura Southard and Stephen Halfinger; her great grandchildren, Andrew, Abby, Ally and Amy; and her siblings, Kenneth Miller (Jeannette) of Pennsburg and Donna (Robert Swenk) of Pennsburg.
