With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Alan Tankersley of Blythewood, South Carolina, born in Lavonia, Georgia, who passed away on January 3, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Houston and Ressie Tankersley of Taylors; and his brothers, Kenneth and Don. He is survived by : his wife Carolyn McClain Tankersley; his daughters, Mary Ellen T. Tobias (Robert) and Lorre T. Norton (Scott); his grandson Chase Alan Norton of Blythewood; and his nieces and nephews, Don L. Harrison (Missy), Katheryn McCollum, Kenneth Tankersley (Chip), Paul Tankersley (Chuck) and Melody Tankersley.
