He is survived by : his brother Samuel Tyrone (Terry); his wife Martha McCord; his uncles, Morris, Elmo and Coach; his sisters, Lena Sims and Eula Elmore; his children, Derrick Gray and Marisha Telemaque (Vladimir); his grandchildren, Sean Johnson, Avery Crawford, Aniyah, Alijah and Azariah Telemaque; his aunts, Clara Britt, Minnie Sue Craig and Pearl McCoy; his nieces and nephews, Kelvin Rodney McPherson (Velda), Tim Sims, Mitchell Sims, Terence Elmore, Arvin Elmore (Robin), Michael McCord, Mark McCord, Thomas Sims, Herbert McCord, Audrey Bryant, Myra Toomer Anderson (Albert), Alison Sims, Cathy Lawson (Lorenzo), Erin Sims, Michelle McCord and Samantha McCord; his cousins, Eddie Dixon, Florenda Sanders (Leamon), Josephine McNeil (James), Alvin Britt (Karen) and Sylvester Britt; his sisters-in-law, Edith Sims (Thomas), Genell McCord and Rosetta Ravenell Elmore; and his friends, Julious Grayton, Thurmond and Ed Little.

Unfortunately, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, he became infected with the deadly disease and it contributed to his passing.
