He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lee Ray and Esther Davis Ray; his brother Darroll Ray; and his brother-in-law Johnny Mattox. He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Ray; his siblings, Boyd Ray, Carroll Ray and Janice Mattox; his grandchild Tristen Richardson; and his former wife Mary Ann Kelly. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
