He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernst A. Metzger and Elsie Huck Metzger; and his siblings, Sandra M. Gregory and David E. Metzger. He is survived by: his wife Betty Allsbrook Metzger; his daughters, Heather Metzger Reiser (Jim) and Kate Metzger Besta (Mike); his sisters, Sherrill M. Ellmers and Linda M. Perrone; and also, Elizabeth M. Nash (Chuck), Heather M. Moore (Brook) and J. Patrick McKain (Gray). He is also survived by grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Bethesda Presbyterian Church, 502 DeKalb Street, Camden, SC 29020.
