He was predeceased by: his parents, Maybell Spencer Phillips and Ernest Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Burrell Phillips; his children, Sheila Jackson (Charlie) of Sunnyview, NC, Ricky Phillips (Connie) of Georgia and Kenny Phillips (Kathy) of Rutherfordton, NC; his siblings, Louise Raburn of Inman and Larry Phillips (Martha) of Campobello; and his grandchildren, Neal Day, Ashley Phillips, Danielle Justice, Shelly Phillips, K. J. Phillips, Keaton Phillips and Reagan Jackson. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
