As we bid adieu to Cecile Caskey's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Cecile Caskey has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Millard Caskey and Maude Effie Moss Caskey. She is survived by: her husband Reginald Thackston; her children, Fran T. Glaze (Lee) of Sumter and Mark W. Thackston (Tempie) of Enterprise, AL; and her grandchildren, Thomas Scott Glaze (Kara), Sally G. Burr (Aaron), Nancy Canon Bowlan (Brett) and Austin Reeves. She is also survived by four great-granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (226 W Liberty St, Sumter, SC 29150). Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
