It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Garland Curtis Parsley of Charleston, South Carolina, born in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, who passed away on February 25, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Durward Curtis Parsley and Mildred Currin Parsley. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughter Tiffany Parsley (Avery Olson); his grandchildren, Ian, Isaiah, Isleigh and Iliana of Summerville, SC; his daughter Erika Parsley (Alex Giraldo); his grandson Elijah of Charleston, SC; his brother Durwood Parsley (Rory); his siblings' child Lauren (Kevin); and his sister Ellen Parsley Oblow.

“Curt was a dear friend of mine as well as a mentor in my Law Enforcement career. His mild demeanor and quick thinking made him one of the best Detectives we had on the Charleston County Police dept. He loved his family, girls and grand children and spoke about them whenever we got together. He loved to Fish and took Andy York, me and A neighbor of Yorks's fishing whenever we could get our schedules together. He is and will be sadly missed by me forever. God has taken a real angel home!
