It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Woodward Douglass MD of Charleston, South Carolina, born in Newberry, South Carolina, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Mabel Frances Woodward and Francis Kennedy Douglass; and his brother Francis Michael Douglass. He is survived by : his niece Katherine Claire Douglass; his significant other Mary Nance Huff of Easley, SC; his sister-in-law Laura Blevins Douglass; and his cousins, Carol Douglass Marse of Prosperity, SC, Dr. Walter Douglass of Spartanburg, SC, Margaret Woodward Mathewes of Canton, NC, Dr. Ray Barfield of Clemson, SC, Beth Barfield Eckels Price of Thomasville, GA, James Woodward of Vienna, GA and John Woodward of Albany, GA..
