She was predeceased by: her parent Kaye Petit; and her cousin Jennifer Lauren Petit. She is survived by: her father William C. Morris of Lake City, SC; her grandmother Juanita W. Jones of Charleston, SC; her uncles, Francis W. "Buddy" Petit, III (Connie) of James Island, SC and Richard Ellison Morris (Janice) of Hemingway, SC; and her cousin Richard Morris (Amy) of Litchfield Beach, SC..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
