It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valerie Jean Roberts of Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on February 26, 2023, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Buckheister Jr. and Rochelle Bolen Buckheister; and her sister Marla Beane DeVeaux. She is survived by: her husband Bert Roberts; her children, Ashley Harris (Zachery) and Austin Roberts (Kiley); her brother Thomas "Trey" Sutler Buckheister III (Serena); her granddaughter Hazel Analise Harris; and her nephew Steven Beane (Amanda).

Memorial donations can be made in Valerie's memory to Hollings Cancer Center.
