He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph William and Margaret Ellen Taylor Lane; his sons, Glenn Lane, Bobby Lane and Steve Lane; and his brothers, Woodrow Lane, Hampton Lane and WJ Lane.

He is survived by : his sons, Cecil Lane (Sharon) of Calabash, NC, Richard Lane (Denise) of Columbia, SC and Keith Lane (Sherry) of Cheraw, SC; his sister Rosie Ard of Cheraw, SC; and his grandchildren, Mitchell Lane, Chris Lane (Angela), Dee Dee Miller (Russell), Summer Coleman (Randall), Laura Drummond (Eric), John Lane (Reene), Jessica Gibson (Tommy Atkinson), Ray Lane (Allison), Elizabeth Gloster (Anthony), Joshua Lane, Caleb Lane, Charlie Lane, Aaron Lane, Bruce Dale Lane and Jewell Lane. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
