He was predeceased by : his parents, James Bayard Brasington, Sr. and Roxanna Nathalie Burch Brasington; and his siblings, Kathleen Chestnut, Bobby Brasington and Gene Brasington.

He is survived by : his siblings, Eunice B. Hinson of Cheraw, SC and Henry Brasington of Cheraw, SC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
