He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis L. Wilson and Lillie McCraw Wilson; and his brothers, Franklin D. Wilson, Carl Glenn Wilson and David Ronald Wilson.

He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Diane Wilson; and his siblings, Nancy W. Miller of Chesnee, Doug Wilson (Norma) of Chesnee and Roger Dean Wilson of Spartanburg. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
