He is survived by: his wife Peggy Gilkison DeGroat; his stepsons, Jonathan Gossett of Union and Christopher Gossett of Enoree; his stepgrandchildren, Jonathan Hunter Gossett, Skylar Gossett and Adylan Gossett; and his brother Milton DeGroat of Las Vegas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
