She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Glenn Pethel and Mary Helen Howard; her siblings, Peggy Hatchell and Harry Pethel, Jr. (Buddy); her great grandchild Nora Shannon; and her husband Rudolph C. Chappell.
She is survived by: her children, Rudye C. Alt (John) of Richburg, Sandra Dorsey (Max) and Rudolph C. Chappell, II of Lewis Turnout; and her grandchildren, Jason Alt (Katie), Jennifer Kelly (Andy), Adrian Alt, II, Wilson Alt (Jamie), Max Dorsey, II (Amy), Jennifer Shannon (Clay), Andrew Dorsey and Alex Dorsey (Dani).
