He is survived by: his parent Ola Sacks Thompson; his spouse Linda Yates Thompson; his children, Lynne Emory (James) of Moncks Corner, Carl Timothy Thompson (Wendy) of Cope, Rene, Black (Todd) of Lexington, Samantha Farmer (Keith) of Chester, Karen Smith of Chester and Kayla McCloud (Thomas) of Chester; and his siblings, Carl Birchmore of Columbia, Danny Thompson of Orangeburg and Beth Gant of Columbia. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
