He was predeceased by: his father James Spivey Sanders; and his brother Eddie Sanders. He is survived by: his mother Sarah Elizabeth Goodson Mackey; his wife Terry Talbert Sanders; his children, Brandee Sanders (Jamie) of Rock Hill, SC, James M. Sanders II of Columbia, SC and Ashley Dillinger (Ralph) of Chester, SC; his grandchildren, Brittan Sinclair, Kaedyn Sinclair, Pasley Sanders, Brie Dillinger, Callista Dillinger, Juliette Dillinger, Bradley Dillinger, Scarlett Dillinger and Sawyer James Dillinger; and his sisters, Ann Meyer (Phil) of Evans, GA and Connie Young (Greg) of Camden, SC.
