He was predeceased by: his parents, Tyre Lucius Taylor and Sarah Lewis Boney Taylor; his wife Anna Benton Taylor; his sister Sarah Cassels; and his grandsons, Timothy Ryan Foster and Jason Samuel Foster.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jackie T. Foster (Tim) of Blackstock, SC, Miriam T. Boyd (Harden) of Blackstock, SC and Janice T. Dahnke (Jeff) of Blackstock, SC; his grandchildren, Travis (Zora), Courtney, Whitney and Joshua (Elizabeth); his great grandchildren, Cade, Rayna, Brittany and Jeremiah; and his caregiver Vicki Clark of Chester, SC..
