She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Walker Abell (Bob) of Lowrys, SC; her daughter Faye; her husband Frank; her siblings, Carter, Ralph Atkinson, Edith Atkinson Hall and Mary Atkinson Sanders; her stepdaughter Rhetta Abell Wilkinson; her grandson Jim Wilkinson, III; her children-in-law, Mary White Abell, Townes Howze and Jim Wilkinson, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Francenia Abell Schwartz.
She is survived by: her sisters, Catherine Atkinson Brakefield and Nell Atkinson Schulte Lynch; her stepchildren, Martha Abell Hatcher (Wayne), Edie Abell Cantrell (Ray), Robert Abell (Amy), Erwin Abell (Becky) and Kathleen Abell Howze; her stepgrandchildren, Perrin Wilkinson Gardner (Buck), Wendy Hatcher Bellavance (Al), Josh Abell, Chris Cantrell (Gina), Cole Abell, Kaleb McKee, Mark Abell (Kris), Alice Abell Morgan, Stuart Abell, Mary Fran Abell Crook (Paul), Karen Howze Filter (Keith) and Russell Howze (Esmeralda); and also Frank Erwin Abell. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
The family requests that all those attending either event wear facemasks and practice social distancing.
