He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bruton and Lucy Ayers Bruton. He is survived by: his wife Betty Howe Bruton; his children, Robert D. Bruton, Jr. (Sarah) of Mint Hill, NC, William Bruton (Tina) of Rock Hill, Billyjack Bruton (Kristin) of Chester and Shawn Zangerine (Robert) of Little River, SC; and his sister Helen Edwards of Ft. Stockton, Texas. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
