He was predeceased by: his parent Van Armstrong Lingle, II; and his granddaughter Kristen Alexandra Tinsley. He is survived by: his parent Sylvia Arotlin Lingle; his wife Marsha Lee Bingham Lingle; his daughters, Wendy Cavallone-Ouzts (James) of Lancaster and Pamela Lingle Conroy (Jeremie) of Rock Hill; his siblings, Stephen Lingle of Virginia, Susan McKenzie (Jim) of Cullpepper, Virginia Chunyo and Judy Chunyo (Dennis) of Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Anna Marie Moore and Alexander O'Connor Moore.
The family suggest that memorials be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
