She was predeceased by : her parents, Willis J. "Shorty" Reaves and Mildred Myers Reaves; her husband Carroll B. Barefoot; her sister Margaret Peggy Blackwell; and her brother-in-law Blackwell.
She is survived by : her daughter Carmen M. Gomez of Tennessee; her granddaughter Elizabeth Michelle Sharah (Shadi); her great grandchildren, Aya, Maya, Nadine and Deema of Tennessee; her grandson James Neely Gray; her great grandchild Elijah Gray of Tennessee; her grandson William Poteete of Tennessee; her niece Diane Barton (Paul); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jennifer Williams (David) and Meg Hinson (Keith); her niece Rhonda Drew; her grandchildren, Ashley Stephen (John), Tera, Mason, Marshall and Aiden; her niece Tracie Slamcik; and also, Burgin, Dalton and Ethan.
