It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edith Phillips Martin (Chesterfield, South Carolina), born in McFarlan, North Carolina, who passed away on September 10, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Battle and Sarah Frances Jones Phillips; her husband Fay Martin; her siblings, Battle, John, Mack, Gordon Phillips, Mary P. Pate, Lucille Phillips, Clemmie P. White and Sarah P. Boan; and her great grandchild Brynn Harper Martin.
She is survived by: her sons, Philip Martin (Carol) of Taylors, SC and Danny Martin of Ruby, SC; her grandchildren, Daniel Gantt Martin (Brooke), Courtney Martin Driver (Andrew) and Kelsey Ann Martin; her great grandchildren, Lucas Driver, Dillon Driver and Jenna Kate Martin; and her sister Dorothy Phillips Zearfoss of Chesterfield, SC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
