She was predeceased by: her parents, George S. Jenkins and Elsie Kelly Jenkins; and her brother Robert S. "Bobby" Jenkins. She is survived by: her husband William "Pete" Thurman; her sons, William Kelly Thurman (Kim) of Lumberton, NC, George Allan Thurman (Terry) of Chesterfield, SC and John Kevin Thurman (Angie) of Chesterfield, SC; her grandchildren, Holly Pankey, Alyssa Britt (Austin), Mary-Kaitlin Thurman, Will Thurman, Leah Hurst (Clayton), Lauren Griggs (James), Ryan Johnson (Margie) and Anna Schaff (JL); her sister-in-law Chizuko Jenkins; and also Leslie Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
