He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Gilbert and Ruth Wright McLain; and his brother-in-law Bruce Rogers. He is survived by: his wife Judy H. McLain; his son Thomas Richard "Richie" McLain, II of Baton Rouge, LA; his sister Kathy Rogers of Chesterfield, SC; his cousin Sandy McLain of Chesterfield, SC; and his close friends, Robbie White and Reene Lane. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
