He is survived by: his spouse Mattie Jane Hewitt Thornton; his parents, Elbert Thornton and Polly Thornton; his daughters, Debbie T. Parton (Doug) of Clifton, Cindy T. Seagraves (Donnie) of Concord, NC. and Robin Addington (Eric) of Clifton; and his grandchildren, Sonya Ricketts (Danny) of Moore, Amanda Kirby (Mickey) of Clifton, D. J, Mattie Seagraves of Concord, NC, Claudia Addington of Spartanburg and Shane Addington of Clifton.
