She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Brown Sr. and Hannah Brown of Washington; and her husband Willie Fred Sims. She is survived by: her siblings, Matthew Brown Jr. (Thomasena) of Newberry, SC and Lucretia Strother; her nieces, Sharon Holloway (Patrick), Takeela Kinard and Jessica Wilson (Johnnie); and her nephew Reginald Strother. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
