Dianne Davenport Childress Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dianne Davenport Childress (Clinton, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 30, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Cecil Davenport and Irene Trammell Davenport; and her siblings, Cecil Davenport, Janice Cannon, Joan Shealy and Polly Boyce.
She is survived by: her husband Charles "Ed" Edward Childress; her children, Chuck Childress (Karen) of Clinton, Polly Martin (Joel) of Clinton and Alvin Childress of Simpsonville; her sisters, Pat Owens (Truman) and Kathy Keadle (Glenn); her grandchildren, Trey Childress (Hillary), Elizabeth Childress, Dianna Martin and Hannah Martin; and her great grandchild Olivia Childress.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Davidson Street Baptist Church (400 Davidson St, Clinton, SC 29325). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
