He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Croy and Eliza Anderson Croy; his son Eddie Croy; and his sisters, Virginia Bryant and Grace Britt.

He is survived by: his wife Bernice S. Croy; his daughters, Gail Patterson (Oneil) of Clinton, Jackie Kernells of Clinton and Jamie Lawson (Joel) of Clinton; and his siblings, Clyde Croy, Jr. and Shelby Peritt. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
