He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Carroll and Magnolia Graham Carroll; his son James Gary Carroll; his stepsons, Bobby Dale English and Tony Curtis English; his brothers, Edward Carroll and Preston Carroll; and his grandchildren, Kristi Couch and Jonathan Wayne English.
He is survived by: his spouse Cleo Carroll; his children, Brian Douglas Carroll (Brinda) and Donna Orr; his stepchildren, David English (Teresa), Mitchell English (Kim), Jason English (Stevie) and Wanda English; and his grandchildren, Melony Rhodes (David), Andrew Carroll (Madeline), Jori Garland, Ryan Carroll, Hunter Jones (Breanna), Jeremy Alexander, Melissa Wyatt, David English, Jr. (Jennifer), Angela Vinson (Vernon), Victoria Joyce, Dylan English, Bryce English, Kynli English, Ryan English, Tori English, Randall Heaton and Stacy Hellams. He is also survived by twenty eight great-grandchildren and his three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton (504 E Carolina Ave, Clinton, SC 29325). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
