He was predeceased by: his parents, Lanham Lawson and Pearl Nelson Lawson; his wife Sandra Jean Lawson; his siblings, Nellie Moore, Lida Bell Leopard, Shorty Lawson and Elbert Lawson; and his grandsons, Jay Lewis and Allen Patterson.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Riddle (DeWitt) of Clinton, Donna Prince of Clinton, Debbie Yokemick (Harry) of Clinton, Melissa Lawson of Clinton and Sam Lawson (Crystal) of Laurens; and his siblings, Homer Lawson of Clinton and Jeanette Stroud of Clinton. He is also survived by his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Davidson Street Baptist Church, 400 Davidson Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
