He is survived by : his children, Travis Dowdy (Mica) of Bennettsville, SC and Shannon Blackwell (Paul Blackwell, III) of Cheraw, SC; his brothers, Bruce Dowdy of Bennettsville, SC and David Dowdy (Lynne) of Bennettsville, SC; and his grandchildren, Holden Dowdy, Parker Dowdy, Vivianne Blackwell and Beckett Blackwell.
