She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Houston and Gertie Fowler Houston; and her husband Marshall Mitchell. She is survived by: her sons, Neal Mitchell (Debbie) and Ed Mitchell (Mary); her sister Bennie Jenkins of Clover, SC; her grandchildren, Neal Mitchell, Jr., Greg Mitchell (Mendy), Angie Mitchell (Debbie Marshall) and Josh Mitchell (Kelly); and her great grandchildren, Banks Mitchell, Mabry Mitchell, Taylor Mitchell, Avery Mitchell, Garrett Mitchell and Dylan Mitchell.
