He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Alonzo and Eldie Hullett Stewart. He is survived by: his children, Wanda Dean Stewart, Donna S. Maloney, Sheena S. Wilson and Joseph F. Stewart, II; his stepchildren, Billy Poteat, Nancy Eaton and Dorothy Sipes; and his brother William Pete Stewart. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
