She was predeceased by: her husband Arlie Severe Ward; her parents, Travis Thomas Taylor and Jacksie Mae Carter; and her siblings, Laura Priest, George Thomas Carter and Paul Ray Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ruth Roberts of Greenfield, TN, Dorothy Sue Auvenshine (Johnny) of Eaton Rapids, MI, James Thomas, Ward Brawner of Clover, SC and Betty Brawner of Medina, TN.; and her sister Elizabeth Smith of Christmasville, TN.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
