He was predeceased by: his parents, S. T. Gentry and Lois Elizabeth Ashe Gentry; and his grandson Noah Elijah Gentry. He is survived by: his sons, Main St and Jonathan Smith; his wife Nellie Yelton Gentry; his son Michael Alexander Gentry (Kelly); his granddaughter Adalee Faith Gentry; and his siblings, Connie Collins (Tommy), Margie Parker (Danny), Terry Gentry (Theresa), Steve Gentry and Daniel Gentry.
