He is survived by: his parents, Daniel McCurdy and Antoinette McCurdy; his wife Jody McCurdy; his children, Lisa Leake and Leslie Williams; his stepson Mark Williams; his granddaughter Ashley Leake; his great grandchild Tyndall Leake; and his brother Dennis McCurdy.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Mecklenburg County Animal Shelter.
