It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Banks of Clover, South Carolina, who passed away on January 8, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Judge Lee and Leona Height Simpson; and her husband Ernest Melton Banks, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Cook of Clover and Gary Whitaker of Monroe, NC; her sister Gayle Simpson of Monroe, NC; and her grandchildren, Joshua Lee Cook, Ernest Jason Cook, Dennis Warren Whitaker and Stacy Whitaker. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
