He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elease Scott Crewell and Alonzo Crewell (Margaret); his brother Karsten Crewell; his grandfathers, Frank Scott and Wilbert Crewell; his aunt Marian Crewell Ray; his mother-in-law Deaconess Beverly Fulton Hill; his wife Raven Hill Crewell; his children, Raegan Crewell (Daryl Shamlee, Jr.), Amber Huff (Devionne Simmons), Jaelen Crewell (Amber Stone) and Maegan Crewell; his grandchildren, Nyla and Layla Simmons; his siblings, Sybil McCoy (Brandon), Tinisha Riley and Braxton Crewell; his grandmothers, Emma Lee Scott and Geneva Crewell of Gulfport, MS; his aunt Wilma Faye Smith of Atlanta, GA; his father-in-law Robert Hill, Sr.; his sister-in-law Robin Hill-Davidson (Brian); and his godchildren, Aisha Shipman, Jaquan Osborne (Christier), Emari Simmons, Payton Clark, Paris Moore, Reese Moore and Kelsey Stone. He was also cherished by children, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

That early love for the sport laid the foundation for greatness.
