She was predeceased by : her parents, Jessie Duffie and Carrie Proctor Duffie Cromer; her husband Johnnie D. McLean; her siblings, Doris Byrd Lucas, Charles L. Duffie and Jessie C. Duffie; and her brother-in-law Harry L. McLean.

She is survived by : her daughter Frankie Maxwell (Robert); her grandchildren, Lisia Lee (Donnie), Curtis Tidwell (Donna) and Christina Johnson (Gene); her great grandchildren, Justin Lee (Amanda), Jesse Lee (Jennifer), Brad Freeman (Sarah), Brandie Jackson, Justin Freeman (Megan), Michael McCormick (Elizabeth), Alexis Tidwell (Cesar), Jonathan Tidwell, Kayla Connell (Evan) and John Checkovich (Jewels); and her nephews, Charles Duffie and Bob Duffie. She is also survived by 16 great-great grandchildren.
