He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Dewey Fagan, Sr. and Susan Mincey Fagan; his wife Dorothy Leitner Fagan; his son Anthony Fagan of Waukegan, IL; his sisters, Susan Ann Moran of Monterey, MA and Elizabeth Fettler (Kevin) of Elgin, SC; his stepson Howard Leitner (Teresa); and his stepgranddaughter Laura Kiefer (Jon).

“I have known Jim for over 40 years. I worked with him on some large projects between 1980 and 1998. If you had a tough project, you wanted him to be with you on it. His manner was easy-going, and he mentored countless associates during that period. We talked about people being "Faganized" by his influence. He will be missed.
