He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne Burriss Sims; his sister Reba Sims Hull; his sibling's children, Reba Hull Campbell (David), Elizabeth Hull Foster, Katherine Burriss Slagel (David), Patricia Burriss Buckner (Donald) and Christopher Samuel Farry (Tara); and his siblings-in-law, Ellen Burriss Swallow (Carl) and Thomas R. Burriss (Winnie).
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral (1100 Sumter St, Columbia, SC 29201). A reception will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Satterlee Hall at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral (1100 Sumter St, Columbia, SC 29201).
