She was predeceased by : her parents, Julian Ramsey and Mary Brown Mellette; and her husband John. She is survived by : her friends, Cary and Liz Andrews; her children, Lydia Mellette Dodd (Mike) and John Robert Lester, III; her granddaughter Anna Mellette Dodd; and her siblings, Dr. J. Ramsey Mellette, Jr. (Betty) and Liz Andrews (Cary). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
