With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josie McLeod (Irmo, South Carolina), who passed away on July 28, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Rufus Smoak and Mary Eva Smoak; her husband Billy F. McCleod, Sr.; her stepson John H. McLeod; and her siblings, Wimberly Smoak, Eulenia Haden, Blanche Pieper, George Lester Smoak, Rufus Francis Smoak Sr., Hazel Busby, Anne Lou Graham and Hellie Mae Easterling.
She is survived by: her son John Lewis Welch, Jr.; and her stepson Billy F. McLeod, Jr..
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel (7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063).
