She was predeceased by: her parents, Hardy Porterfield and Gertie Rumph Porterfield; her husband Henry "Toby" Caldwell; her children, Barbara Porterfield of Columbia, SC, Frances Deloris Caldwell and Willie Lee Porterfield; her granddaughters, Phynette Porterfield, Hope Johnson and Chatauqua LaTrell Porterfield; her siblings, Nelson, Henry, Joseph, Eugene, Eliminuel Porterfield, Ethel Porterfield, Lillie Mae Thomas, Georgianne Brimfield, Sallie Manigault and Earlene Oliver; and her sister-in-law Mary Ruth Porterfield.
She is survived by: her daughters, Hattie R. Porterfield of Adelphi, MD, Jacqueline Powell (James) of Goldsboro, NC, Mary L. Porterfield and Gloria A. Porterfield; her sister Elease P. Lorick of Columbia, SC; her sisters-in-law, Bernetha Porterfield of Cayce, SC and Frances P. Kennedy of Columbia, SC; and her daughters-in-law, Elaine Porterfield of Gadsden, SC and Willie Mae Felder of West Columbia, SC.
