It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Joseph Townsend Sr. (Conway, South Carolina), who passed away on July 30, 2018, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Lattimore Townsend; his grandson Wesley Alan Batts; and his siblings, Ronnie Townsend, Betty Oliver and Gloria Lowe.
He is survived by: his parent Catherine Reed Townsend; his wife Brenda Townsend of Conway; his children, George Townsend, Jr. (Linda) of Conway, Tracy Townsend-Kehrer (Jeff) of Brandywine, MD and Karen Townsend Kissinger (Charles Michael) of Mechanicsville, MD; and his grandchildren, Anthony Joseph Townsend, Brandon Kehrer, Kyle Kehrer, David Van Sciver and Jessica Van Sciver Martin.
