He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Rush Pugh and Preston Pugh; and his siblings, Ethel Mae, Arthur, Calvin, Bessie Mae, Joyce, Earl and Ethel Lee.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ollie Bell James of Conn, Margaret Pugh of Conway and Thurmon Pugh (Laura Turner) of Conway. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
