He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Caulder and Jackie Henderson Caulder; his son William A. Caulder, Jr.; his granddaughter Mason Sellers; and his sister Polly Small.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Caulder; his daughters, Sarah Carista and Becky Hardwick (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Justin Hyman, Kristen Caulder and Hanna Sellers; his great grandchild Kylan Smith; and his sisters, Deborah Phipps and Lynn Hughes.
