He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Lewis and Josephine Lewis of Cottageville; and his children, Betty Powell, James Charles Lewis, Maryellen Lewis Zimmerman and Queen Lewis.

He is survived by : his wife Ida Deloris Williams Lewis; and his children, William Franklin Lewis (Lottie) of Allendale, Walter L. Lewis (Effie) of Plainfield and Vera A. Walker (James) of Tampa, Florida. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
